Dental Implants in Islamabad: What Shapes the Cost

What really decides the fee for dental implants: the implant system, your bone, the abutments and the final teeth, explained by the RESTŌR team in F-7 Markaz, Islamabad.

Dental implants are one of the most planned treatments in dentistry, and no two plans are the same. That is why RESTŌR does not publish a single price for implants. Instead, this guide explains what actually shapes the fee, so you know what to ask and what to expect at your consultation in F-7 Markaz, Islamabad.

What is a dental implant?

An implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Once it has bonded with the bone, it supports a crown, a bridge or a full set of fixed teeth. Done well, an implant restoration looks, feels and functions like natural teeth, and it does not rely on the neighbouring teeth for support.

Why implant fees vary so much

Two patients can both be told they need “an implant” and end up with very different treatment. The main factors are:

  • How many teeth are being replaced. A single tooth, a short bridge and a full arch are entirely different treatments.
  • The implant system. RESTŌR offers implant systems at different tiers: ImplantSwiss as a cost-effective option, MegaGen AnyRidge and Neodent in the mid-to-upper tier, and Straumann at the upper tier. Your prosthodontist recommends a system based on your bone, your bite and your plan.
  • Your bone. Where bone has been lost, grafting or a sinus lift may be needed. In severely resorbed jaws, longer implants and pterygoid implants can often avoid grafting altogether (see below).
  • The abutment. The connector between implant and tooth can be a stock part, a custom-made abutment or, for full arches, a multi-unit abutment. Each suits different situations.
  • The final restoration. A crown or bridge can be made from different materials, from porcelain fused to metal to high-strength zirconia.
  • Imaging and planning. 3D imaging (CBCT) and digital planning let us place implants where the bone and the final teeth need them.

Single implants

For a single missing tooth, treatment usually involves a consultation and 3D scan, placing the implant, a healing period, and then the final crown. Where the front teeth are involved, we also plan the gum and tooth shape carefully so the result blends with your smile.

Full-arch implants

Full-arch treatment replaces all the teeth in one jaw with a fixed bridge supported by several implants. It is a different category of treatment from single implants, and the components used make a real difference to how long it lasts and how easy it is to maintain.

At RESTŌR, full-arch cases are planned on multi-unit abutments with a screw-retained bridge. That means the bridge can be removed by your dentist for cleaning and maintenance, and there is no cement left under the gum. We do not build full-arch bridges on stock abutments with cemented restorations.

For the final prosthesis, our preferred approach is a titanium bar with zirconia: the titanium bar gives strength and a precise fit, and zirconia gives a natural, durable finish. Other prosthesis types exist, and your prosthodontist will explain which suits your mouth, bite and budget.

In many cases, fixed provisional teeth can be fitted shortly after surgery, so you are not left without teeth while the implants heal. Whether this is possible for you depends on your bone and the stability of the implants, and we confirm it during planning.

Told you don’t have enough bone?

Many patients come to us after being told implants are not possible because their jawbone has shrunk. In a lot of these cases, a fixed solution is still possible. Using longer implants placed at an angle to reach dense bone, sometimes combined with pterygoid implants anchored in the bone at the back of the upper jaw, we can support a full-arch bridge without major bone grafting. Every case needs careful 3D planning, and we will tell you honestly whether it is right for you.

What happens at your consultation

  1. We listen to what you want to change and review your medical and dental history.
  2. We examine your teeth, gums and bite, and take photographs.
  3. Where implants are being considered, we take a 3D (CBCT) scan to assess your bone.
  4. You receive a clear written plan, the options available to you, and an exact fee for your treatment.

Frequently asked questions

How much do dental implants cost in Islamabad?

It depends on the number of implants, the implant system, whether grafting is needed, the abutments and the final restoration. We give you an exact, itemised fee after your consultation and scan, rather than a figure that may not apply to you.

Is implant treatment painful?

Implant placement is carried out under local anaesthetic, and most patients describe the recovery as easier than they expected. We explain aftercare in detail before treatment.

How long do implants last?

With good planning, quality components, good oral hygiene and regular maintenance visits, implants can last for many years. Smoking and uncontrolled gum disease increase the risk of problems.

See how we plan and restore single and multiple dental implants at RESTŌR, or, if most teeth are missing, full-arch implants.
