For one missing tooth or several: implants with natural-looking crowns or bridges, planned from a 3D scan and restored by Dr Omer Awan, Prosthodontist (FCPS), at RESTŌR in F-7 Markaz.
An implant replaces the root of a missing tooth, and a crown is fixed on top. It doesn’t come out, and the teeth on either side don’t need to be cut down to hold it. Missing most or all of your teeth? See Full-Arch Implants.
A gap left by an extraction, an accident, or a tooth that never formed.
A cracked or badly broken tooth, sometimes replaced at the same visit it is removed.
Two or more gaps, restored with individual crowns or a small bridge on implants.
Replaced with fixed teeth that don’t rely on your natural teeth for support.
Each implant is positioned from a CBCT scan and planned around the crown it will carry, not just the bone that happens to be there.
Where the position allows, crowns are screwed rather than cemented to the implant, so they can be removed for maintenance and no cement is left under the gum.
Zirconia or porcelain crowns, made to match the shape and shade of your own teeth.
We work with established implant systems at different tiers. Your prosthodontist recommends one based on your bone, your bite and your treatment plan, and explains why.
After a tooth is lost, the bone around it slowly shrinks. Your 3D scan shows exactly how much remains, and the plan is built around it.
Placed at the same visit the tooth is removed, when the bone and gum allow.
Where the bone has thinned, it can be rebuilt before or alongside the implant.
In the upper back jaw, the sinus floor can be gently raised to make room for an implant.
Prosthodontist & Implantologist
BDS, FCPS (Prosthodontics)
Dr Omer has almost a decade of clinical experience. After his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Riphah International University, he completed his specialist training in prosthodontics at the Armed Forces Institute of Dentistry and was awarded the Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (FCPS).
He plans every implant from a 3D scan around the crown it will carry, so the new tooth looks right, works with your bite and can be maintained for years.
We examine your teeth, gums and bite, take photographs and a CBCT scan to see exactly how much bone you have.
The implant, the crown and the timeline are planned together. You receive a written plan with your options and fee.
The implant is placed under local anaesthetic. If the gap is visible, a temporary tooth can be fitted so you aren’t left without one.
Over the next few months, the implant bonds with the bone. We check it along the way.
A crown, or a bridge where several teeth are replaced, is made and fitted, followed by regular check-ups.
It depends on the implant system, whether bone grafting is needed, and the crown. You receive an exact, written fee after your consultation and scan. Our implant cost guide explains what affects the price.
The implant is placed under local anaesthetic, so you shouldn’t feel pain during the procedure. Most people manage the next few days with ordinary painkillers, and we explain aftercare before you go home.
Usually a few months from placement to the final crown, depending on your bone and whether grafting is needed. Your written plan sets out the timeline for your case.
With good planning, quality components, good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, implants can last for many years. Smoking, gum disease and grinding can shorten their life, which we discuss with you.
A bridge relies on cutting down the teeth on either side of the gap, and a partial denture comes out. An implant replaces the tooth on its own. We explain all three at your consultation so you can choose.
Most adults can. Uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smoking, active gum disease and some medicines need extra care or treatment first, which we check at your consultation.
Bring any previous X-rays or scans if you have them. We’ll examine your teeth and bone, talk you through your options, and give you a written plan and fee.
